Buyer:
It is the responsibility of each customer (new and returning) to do his or her due diligence to verify with his/her zoning office that livestock and/or specifically goats are permitted in your location. Failure to do so prior to placing a deposit and the discovery that your local zoning prohibits such animals rests solely on the buyer and as such no refund of deposits will be issued.
Once a buyer commits to their choice on either a kid or an adult animal, a non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of $100.00 ($50.00 on wethers) per animal will be due:
This will hold your goat(s) until the agreed upon pickup date (Generally 8-10 weeks from date of birth). If deposit is not received within the allotted time, said animal will be again made available for sale. All pricing will be considered "FIRM" at the time a deposit is placed.
Seller:
Our primary concern is the health and well being of our kids and we work closely with their new parents to ensure that no animal leaves the farm before they are ready. Most kids are weaned at 8 to 10 weeks. We spend a great deal of time with our kids from birth to the time they leave the farm to ensure our kids are well socialized and friendly. All kids are dam-raised (some bottle supplemented).
All River View Farm goats are either AGS registered or able to be. Nigerian Dwarf goats and kids will be sold with AGS registration forms (Unless indicated as "Pet Pricing" - These animals are NOT eligible to be AGS registered).
All kids are disbudded (or polled), wormed and have had their first and second CD&T vaccination. All new owners will be provided with a detailed medical history report as part of the sale. Kids are very susceptible to stress brought on by moves and new environments, River View Farm is NOT responsible for any illness once goats leave the premises unless a veterinarian can provide certified documentation that the problem surfaced at our farm. In that case, a replacement goat or refund will be provided at our discretion.
Stud Services:
We do not offer stud services at this time.
Transport / Shipping:
We do not provide delivery or shipping services, all animals are assumed to be picked up at our farm.
We do not sell any of our animals to homes that intend to keep only one goat! Goats are strong herd animals and human contact is not a substitute for a buddy of their own kind. Our policy is in place for the best welfare of the goat.
ABSOLUTELY NO GOATS WILL BE SOLD FOR CONSUMPTION!
